The year is 2029. The world has become an ultra-high information society, with vast amounts of information circulating all around the world through communication networks covering all areas. A special unit was formed to fight the complex crimes of this society. This organization, belonging to the Public Security Section 9, is called the Shell Squad.
Since its release in 1995, Ghost in the Shell has received positive reviews, with critics praising the story, visuals, and music. It has earned a cult following and is said to be one of the greatest science fiction anime films of all time. World-renowned filmmaker James Cameron described the film as “the first truly adult animation film to reach a level of literary and visual excellence.”
To commemorate the series’25th anniversary, the film was remade on NETFLIX in 2020, and in May 2022 the newest season Ghost in the Shell:SAC_2045 was broadcasted. Licensees include global sports apparel brands, international luxury fashion brands, and popular baseball cap manufacturers, who want to add a cyberpunk atmosphere to their lineup.

From August 4th, 2022, to September 7th, 2022, a collaboration took place between the mobile FPS/TPS game app “Call of Duty®: Mobile” (which is free-to-play) operated by Activision Publishing, Inc., and the cyberpunk action title “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.”
In this collaboration, a thematic event was held during “Season 7: New Vision City” of “Call of Duty®: Mobile,” allowing players to immerse themselves in the world of “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.”
The game introduced a character skin of the series' protagonist, “Motoko Kusanagi,” into “Call of Duty®: Mobile.”
Additionally, a new area reminiscent of the series' world, “New Vision City,” appeared on the Battle Royale map “Isolated.” A themed event called “Trace the Steps of Motoko” was conducted, where players, along with the members of Section 9, completed missions, offering an unprecedented Battle Royale experience for the players.
